I trust you will have a greater experience of the manifest Triune God in your worship this year!
I want to reinforce a statement Ben Kleynhans made; in this new season for which there are no previous examples to be guided by in the church of Christ; God will “establish unity through diversity” – we are all made unique and different by our Creator and He desires to unite the service and influence of each of His sons and daughter’s unique contribution to the body of Christ, to lead the church in this last, new level….
As it pertains to worship I wish to emphasise the interpretation of the above to apply to us in this way specifically; as singers and musicians we must be patient and gracious with one another, allowing for each worshippers unique input and free experimentation in the endless methods/manners one can express their adoration of the Trinity!
I haven’t had a chance to do the roster yet, so for now everyone must come in and let me know in advance when you can’t.
It’s not going to be logistically practical for us to come through on Thursdays with us living a further 30 minutes away now (60 minutes one way to church…), so we’ll have to trust each person to practice the selected songs for each week at home and we will meet a little earlier on Sundays; 07h30 (eish!!). With a smaller team, we’ve also decided to keep the max no of songs to 3 for each worship session.
