--------------------------------------------
God is a creative God, and as such, He desires the creatures He has created to express their love to Him. That "EXPRESSION" comes in many forms. It is clear from His word that He wants His followers to outwardly show their peace and joy and excitement regarding all He has done, is doing and will do in what scripture calls "Praise" and "Worship". Both are outward signs of the inner and personal relationship we have with His Holy Spirit.
This outwards expression becomes;
- An act of faith - because we don't see that "promised land", neither has it become manifest in our personality/character, and we know that - but the lie of the enemy is that it is hypocritical if we don't remain true to the historical knowledge we have of ourselves; this is a simple and powerful limitation placed upon believers who receive it as truth. God responds to this Act of faith, when our because our faith is shown not to be dead - by being without tangible, physical evidence - faith without works is DEAD!
- A sacrifice of praise - because regardless of how we feel at the time or what unpleasant circumstances we're going through, we know and believe God is greater and show that faith outwardly by jubilantly adoring Him with all our might
- A fragrant aroma - a pleasant offering, that ascends before God and attracts His awesome attention, it is as if we're building an alter and the offering is our Praise and Worship - that altar becomes God's mercy seat or throne when that faith (expressed in "works", IE; outward Praise or Worship) becomes inviting to His Holy presence
- A self discipline - a means to crucify the flesh. One is vulnerable when expressing something spiritual before others. It is a way of growing our character through humility. Fortunately we are not focussed on one another, but God wants His body, the bride of Christ to glorify His exalted name TOGETHER in a unified and beautiful manner!
Our team aims to facilitate encouraging an environment condusive to honoring God, a "place" where our all the private praise and worship our spiritual family have been exercising in their own personal quiet times can be expressed corporately.
As a team our ministry is based upon unity with each other (more so than other forms of ministry) - it is in a sense a "creative ministry of unified expression to glorify God". We know our ministry is heavily dependent on the spiritual gifts illustrated well by the "harp and bowl" analogy found in the book of Revelation (the union of prophetic intercession and music (praise and worship) ) and will inevitably move toward more freedom in expression, as our congregation matures.
We our blessed with our teams high level of committed service and faithful support of honoring and lifting up the exalted and resurrected Jesus Christ at Oasis Helderberg
